hi, i'm trying to use some simple css on my myspace profile.

if i use css for the appearance of links, e.g.

a:link {color: #FF0000}
a:active {color: #00FF00}
a:visited {color: #0000FF}
a:hover {color: #000000}

it works but the there are other links that i want to change as well:

when hovering, clicking etc on a profile picture or profile name, e.g. in comments section.

i tried things like a.profileLink:link but this had no effect.

plz can someone help, there must be a very simple solution

cheers, marty80

As far as I know you can’t use the number sign (‘#’) in MySpace, it will be stripped. You need to use color names.
Is there any class called “profileLink” in MySpace links? I can’t find any so no wonder why this doesn’t work. You can change links in the comments section with something like .friendsComments a {…} (but remember to use color names).

I don't think you have to use color names, but just drop the hash character. This is an invalid way of doing it which isn't normally accepted by browsers, but it's MySpace. Anyway, if hash values work, then great.

the hex values seem to work including the "#", but that could be changed easily.

if i use .friendsComments a {} this would change all the links in the comments section but only the "normal" links, not the profile links (when u click/hover on a profile name or picture)

these links seem to be a different kettle of fish. that's why i wondered if there was a special class for these links (there must be, really)

i think you have to show some codes... this may have some css specificity... as they say... to work..

i think you having your code as a general one that is causing that not one to work...

just my opinion...
