hello all
im building search engine ( in house ) and now i need to stitch html/css gui to it
i like to build simple clean page that will have the search text box and advance search in the top and the result
that is constructed from text and images for each item in the rest of the page .
the trick for me ( im not such of designer ) is to build one page with out sub pages that will contain all the search and results
is there any examples and guidelines for such design ?

Two words

"PHP - paging"

If you are building a search engine then I would assume you are using a database so harnessing a server side language would logically be the next step.

I think you should go with the simple approach. Just a logo, text box, and a button. I mean, it worked for google. After you've harnessed your web design skills, you might want to add other options.
