View Full Version : IE Positioning

Hello all,

I had some help on this a little earlier this week but I am still having some problems getting things to work in IE. I would like the first paragraph and portfolio pieces to be in the same spot on IE as they are in firefox. Everything I have tried changes it even more. Any ideas or suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?

thanks again and thanks to those who looked at the first one.

Fix the errors in your markup first, see http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nateymax.com%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0

I think, the easy and best method to make this kinda layout is to apply those big background as a single image to the body. Thus you may avoid all sorts of divitis.
You may isolate your logo from that background and present it using an <img> tag, which would make your logo semantic (http://www.boagworld.com/archives/2005/11/semantic_code_what_why_how.html).

Thus on the whole your layout will get reduced a simple 1 column fixed.
