<marquee direction="up">my text</marquee>

I have a large marquee on my site that scrolls kind of slow that people can red everything, and it starts from the bottom and than goes slowly up, how could i make it start from the middle or the top of the marquee.

I'm pretty sure you can't change that. It always starts out of view and moves in/up/whatever. I COULD be wrong though, but don't count on it. :(

You can change the behavior to a certain extent: Marquee Behavior (http://www.htmlcodetutorial.com/_MARQUEE_BEHAVIOR.html)

Additional attributes (http://www.htmlcodetutorial.com/_MARQUEE.html).

I don't know you might need to use a CSS marquee for that.

There is no such thing as a CSS marquee.

This may be of interest.

css - marquee (http://www.w3.org/TR/css3-marquee/)

FrankThat WAS interesting to me at least. Hard to keep track of all that stuff. :p

BTW, just because a tag is deprecated doesn't mean it can't be used and be functional. Just means it would be flagged with a DocType higher than HTML 4.01 Transitional by the validator.

Those who ask how to do something, ought to be given the info and let them decide how they want to use it. Possibly, one day, they'll move up to writing syntactically and semantically code.
