*Oh and FYI there's only this problem in Firefox*

:(

Is it fixable?

I just did a quick search of the code in lightbox.css, style.css, and http://burtsbees.khigo.com/ for the keyword fixed and found no matches. Where are you using background-attachment: fixed?
Why are you using img and table elements to display a background image? Try removing the div#bgimg element and all of its content from your HTML‐XHTML document and adding the following CSS to your style sheet.

html { background: url("nodollar.jpg") fixed; }

^ the reason why I'm doing that is cause I want it to stretch to fit the whole screen rather than tile.
and i can't figure out how to do that without using tables and div containers

Have a look at http://www.cssplay.co.uk/layouts/background.html (and its source).
