View Full Version : conflict with hover state and javascript

Hello everyone,

I got a problem building my portfolio and I would appreciate any help I cold get here.

The URL is: http://www.laertjansen.com/version02/

As you can see there´s a hover state applied to the squares and something like a 'fade-in fade-out' effect applied to the images.

The problem is that only when the mouse is exatly over the image it lights on.
I would like to have the image on alpha=100% state even when the mouse is over the border only.

Is there a way to fix it?

Thanks a lot in advance.

looks good to me. i don't understand

edit:// I see now! have the div bg be the border and then expand the height/width of the link by the border length
so the link should have a negative margin of -5px on all sides
then for the hover effect just either add div:hover or since you are using js anyways use that

I don´t understand very well. How do I do that. Sorry for asking. I´m not an expert. I´ve been learning to build this folio.

can't you add opacity to the link and then it automatically goes to the nested image.
try that and then lmk

also pm me if you are looking for graphic design work. ;)
