hi .. :)

i have a contact form in my website ..
i dont want to use mailto function ..
i realy want user to send me an email from the form ..

could you help me by tell me what are the steps?
and what is the code to do this ?? :o

and i hope it not too complecated .. :confused:

all those solution are perl , php driven, what the hell is emailing in html?

Not sure I understand your question sybil.

the form will be shown in the html. But when it is subm,itted, it 'has' to be procesed server-side either (most likely) by perl or php. I suppose it could be done with js but then error checking and data entry cannot be checked accurately.

yes but rooroo dont want to use the mailto function, so no choice i believe..

that's why he/she needs to do it server side. mailto just opens the default email program.

Easiest solution is listed in post #3 and OP doesn't even have to write the PHP nor do anything but put the php file and html file, where form is, in the same directory. A "Thank You" page can also be brought up upon submit if OP so wishes. Just couldn't be easier.
