i want to create a html email with a form in it so when emailed users can fill it out and submit it. This will them go to the php update file on my server before going into the sql database. Can a form be used in this way? As it will be html?

Hey,
Best might be to put a link in the email, to a page on your site which has the form. I dont think you can have an email with a form that can be completed from the mail processor... So I would personally, for example, send an email with the picture of the form, which has a link to your webpage and the real form, so that when the reader clicks on the empty space as if he was going to fill, he is directly sent to that page of yours (the form in your webdirectory) :-)
