View Full Version : Reccomend a good domain registrar

Hi there,

I'm looking for someone who can recommend to me a good domain name registrar.

We currently use 123-reg, but in recent weeks we have started to have problems with them, the usual issues, sites which are linked to domain names registered through them have gone offline (whilst sites registered with other people are still online).

We have attempted to contact them to resolve the issue without success. We have about 20 domains registered with them and want to move them all to a reputable registrar.

Anyone use any decent registrars, or have any ideas about how we can best manage them?

Thanks in advance

We use Dotster (http://www.dotster.com/) for our few domains at work. They were in place before I came on board 2 years ago and I've never had any problems. More expensive than K-mart... er... GoDaddy and all of those, though.

I've been registering my personal and project domains through Google, which uses e-nom. Fair price and includes free privacy listing, plus the benefits of Google Apps.

Personally, I recommend GoDaddy.com. They have like a 99% uptime, courteous staff, and fair prices.

mkdomains.net, 100% uptime. £3.99 domains and excellent support!

I've used MyDomain.com for quite a number of years without a problem.

GoDaddy is a very good registrar. I wouldn't use them as an actual host, but you can't find any registrar that is more reliable.

I second MyDomain. I use it for all my clients.

GoDaddy.com has always been reliable for me as well.
