View Full Version : CSS Borders Misplace Image Maps

05-22-2008, 01:39 AM
The image map links on my image are thrown off by css-applied bottom borders to cells in the same table as my image. When the borders get rendered in the browser, the image gets pushed somewhat lower on the page. Therefore, the hotspots are not in the right places. Any ideas on how to get the image maps to move along with the image itself?

Any chance that you provide some code for better visualization? That’s not a common issue as image maps aren’t used too much (anymore) nowadays, so we can’t tell you from mind and we’d need to test it ourselves.

Thanks for responding. Actually, now that I'm looking a bit more closely, I notice that I have a different page using the same exact layout with a different image that has hotspots and that works just fine.
You mention image maps not being used so often anymore. I know that you can do it with CSS, but I haven't got a clue as to how to implement that. Where would I find some good instructions for that?
