View Full Version : ANNOYING ACTIVEX! onLoad="self.focus()"

I am using a simple script... here the gist of it:

<body onLoad="self.focus()">BLAHBLAHBLAH</body>

Every time I open the page, I need to confirm the active x control or whatever. Stupid windows vista.

Anyways, is there a way around it? I have seen other websites use the same commands and I do not have to allow windows to open it.

If you are unsure what I mean, I am talking about the little orange-ish bar that comes down from the address bar when windows thinks you are being attacked.

Are you on-line or off-line when you get this?

Hi ubss,

You should sit down first and relax :)

This activeX control won't show when your page is up on the server already ;)

But if you really don't like that MOTW to annoy you, then have this code above your HTML tag:

<!-- saved from url=(0014)about:internet -->

Thanks Rangana. I was coding it offline until I had it completed to upload. I guess that was all. Thanks :-D.

It is also part of internet options on the browsers internet settings to allow Active X.
