Ahem....I keep getting a new window opening when I try to make this code work. I want to stay in one window. Any thoughts?

<td width="840">
<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000" id="obj1" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" border="0" width="840" height="53">
<param name="movie" value="mainnaivgation1.swf">
<param name="quality" value="High">
<embed src="mainnaivgation1.swf" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" name="obj1" width="840" height="53"></object>

Use this code to embed your file instead!

I also hope that those <td> tags don't mean you are using tables for layout...

I didn't want to use tables, however in order for all the basics on each page to remain the same in all browsers, MS informed me that I had to. I had built the pages not using tables, and the body, text and images bounced around all browsers and monitors differently.

You can see examples at www.soobrand.com

thanks for the help, I sure hope I can understand what I need to do

MS informed you that you had to? Is that Microsoft? Considering they made IE, you shouldn't listen to them. Trust me it is possible to get it to work without tables, it just takes more energy and CSS know-how. The people in this forum are talented and willing to assist if you wish to try (I hope you do!). I can see this was made using Office, which is going to cause some issues inherently due to their poor coding support.

If you have questions about how to use the code, post them on that thread. Your code is very difficult to read (due to the program you used) so be prepared for a few issues to arise!
