The javascript works on my web page in IE, but not in FF.

Here is the URI:http://www.democratsforum.com

The code is in the header.

TIA,
Jerry

you have treated your global variable clockEvent sometimes as a global:

function setHeadVars(){
...
clockEvent = window.setTimeout("setHeadVars()",1000);
...
}

Sometimes as a local, which is wrong:

function runHeadClock(){
var clockEvent = window.setTimeout("setHeadVars()",1000);
}

<input size="30" type="text" name="timespent" />The above input needs the attribute id="timespent"

Thanks for both replies! I'll change and try it at lunch (I don't have access here). It's been almost a decade since I wrote that and I haven't done javascript since then. As you can tell from the NN4 tests.
