Almost finished, but finally got it the way I like it :)!!

Tell me what you think!

I found a bug.... Okay on the front page I select 'Mercedes-Benz' then 'C-Class' and it takes me the the next page and then it says for the make 'Mercedes-Benz' and the Model is 'C-Class' but when i hit the model drop down box its filled with a whole bunch of Acura models. Not Mercedes.

And I noticed that the field for the fax number is only big enough for 7 digits? Do you have 10 digit dialing there? If not it may not be of a big concern but you should perhaps increase it to 10 digits.

Thats it for now...

I think this is a legal requirement, but I presume that you have to state which country that you are operating from, e.g. UK, US, etc.

Otherwise the site looks fine.

Try implementing some .css to add more affect.

Okay, I intended to shup up this time, but we just had elections for a new government here in Holland, and I'm completely in the freedom-of-opinion spirit, so here goes:

I really like what you did on the starting page, designwise; only thing is, it's a bit small. I'm no great fan about the stick-a-poster-in-the-middle-of-the-screen-somewhere approach, but: good strong logo, excellent photo material, very nice opaque, partially overlapping boxes, eyecatching but not obtrusive category headers in dark yellow and black. Great stuff!

Then, we go to the lower level pages; suddenly, almost everything that makes the design on the starting page so attractive is abandoned: totally different layout, different color use, different header (although the text is the same type). What a shame.

My suggestion would be to bring the different pages closer together as far as look-n-feel is concerned, creating more unity throughout the whole site, drawing heavily on the design elements from the starting page.
Also, the breadcrumb navigation on the Showroom page (nice touch!) goes missing on the other pages; since this a useful navigation aid, i'd use it on the other pages as well.

Hope i haven't put you down, after all i could never produce a design as striking as your starting page.

Starting page: bright colors, good contrast, nice design :thumbsup:

inner pages: too grayish. Where are the images & the strong colors?

No ronaldb66, it does not put me down... Opinions are what I want, and I actually was thinking about that, I really like yellow color, but couldnt find a place to use it on the inner pages...

I will have to go through the site and maybe add a little yelllow in there.

I like the layout and the colour usage. :thumbsup:

However, it would be nice to be able to 'click to enlarge' the picture of the vehicle you were looking at. Just a preference.

front page looks very nice. the other pages are also a nice design... but its a completely differant design to the front page...

perhaps a little more continuity throughout the site is needed, apart from that i like it :thumbsup:

If i may make a few suggestions:

use the "ocmotors" bit with the grayish box as header, probably without the Merc (nice, but takes up a little too much room);
sneak in the yellow in a button bar beneath the header, buttons shaped like the three on the main page;
see if you can apply those blue-bordered light gray boxes you used on the main page to envelop the content on the other pages as well; if you tie in the button that points to the page in view you'll have a clear indication of which page the visitor is viewing at the same time;
other page or table (sub) headers: how 'bout yellow with a blue border like underneath the header on the main page?
Same may apply to the footers.

Well I changed the mainpage... looks better now i think..'

Take a look..

01-26-2003, 02:38 PM
The new design is nice, but the other was better (it's only my oppinion, of course)

01-26-2003, 02:40 PM
The images are broken, with gaps between them. They need fixing...

The Wizzard

really? it looks fine to me...

You got a screenshot?

What is your resolution?

01-27-2003, 01:46 PM
I tried it on 1600 x 1200, and then on 1024 x 768. Same results.

01-27-2003, 05:01 PM
Opera... :eek:

01-27-2003, 05:41 PM
What? Opera rules, it whips IE and Mozilla. No comparison, Opera is the best.

01-27-2003, 06:16 PM
i like the new look, but when i clicked on "find your dream car" i thought i would get a search feature, and there is just a list, and it might not be immediately obvious that you can change the sort.

Hey The Wizzard

Very nice. I am using IE6 and 1024 and the site looks very smart.

And my suggestions:

Front page - excellent - leave it as is! Though on a dial up connection it takes about 20-30s to load. Perhaps make the images smaller (?)

The other pages - smart and professional looking.

Good luck with it!
