View Full Version : Is there onrightclick or similar?

I'm a novice. I'd really like to stop people saving off photos on my site (if they wanted to!). So I'm looking at something like onrightclick to handle this. But it doesn;t look like it exists. Any hints please.

Right click scripts are unreliable when it comes to hiding images or code. It can be disabled with a few clicks.

And there are dozens of ways someone can use to take images off the Internet, besides right clicking or viewing the source. There are also the print screen button, or viewing them in the cache. You cannot block all these methods.

The only way to prevent someone from stealing your images is to not put them on the site in the first place. Nonetheless, if you still want a no right click script, you'll find it on Google, there are hundreds.

And yes, use the search feature next time.

Belive me, to "protect" picture this way (or any other way on the Net) is a wasted time job. If someone really wants to copy your picture will do it for sure, even if he will use the simple "Print Screen" feature (or even if not disable Javascript, view source, or search it's cache) .... The Web medium is an open medium type... This is it

Let's not have another one of these debates - there are plenty of other threads already that say everything there is to say :)

I agree. Yet from time to time people stubbornly wants either to re-invet the wheel, or to transform a circle into a square...
