View Full Version : Embedding a font

Is it possible to embed a non-standard font into a webpage? If so, how? I've tried it before and learned somewhere that the font must be a truetype font, but I had no success whatsoever with that method and I have been unable to dig up any other ways.

Can anyone help?

That method doesn't work. I've tried it like 10 times now and yet it still won't show up. Guess I have to use a default font :(

Well its a very tricky process, and honestly unreliable. I haven't done it in a long time because of that reason. However pick a default font, and use some graphics with your font in key places to add some spice.

For buttons, banners, and things that are dynamic, meaning the text
changes on them, you can use PHP and GD to create a .gif or .png image
with your "non-standard" font. It is actually an image, but the text can
be placed in it using PHP (so it can be any text).

Example, pictures of houses with the prices shown directly on the photos
themselves, the graphic image, not HTML.

If you have a lot of text, use something standard like "arial".
