View Full Version : How do I get rid of this Div - but keep my layout the same?

I have a div called "Navigation". I would like to (if possible) remove the div and have the two UL's sit inside the background div instead but keep the red part.

Basically I want to keep the layout the same but remove the navigation div as I dont want lots of unnessesary divs.

If I do need it, then of course I will keep it!

You don't the unordered list. Change this

<div id="navigation">
<ul id="threebarmenu">

<li>line one</li>

<ul id="leftnav">
<li class="leftnavCrouton">You Are In: </li>
<br style="clear: both;"/>
to this

<div id="navigation">
<span>line one</span>You Are In:

Then in your CSS

#navigation span {
#navigation {
You may have to clear the float in which case use the method described here http://positioniseverything.net/easyclearing.html
