Hi all,
I'm programming on Indesign by using Javscript, JAVA, etc.. and need a suggestion about Javascript features:

I need to make a connection to a servlet.
Since in Indesign I don't have the XMLHttpRequest, how can i make an http request to call the servlet?

I heard somewhere about socks in javascript, but couldn't fin any doc...

do you have any suggestion??

From the browser side, HTTP requests can be made by:
- Loading a URI in a frame of window
- Submitting a form
- XMLHTTPRequest
- Loading an embedded external resource such as an image. (With this method any response will be parsed through the browser's image parser, and will not be accessible through script.)
- Loading a parsed external resource such as a style sheet or a script file.

sure i know that, but i was asking a different thing: how to handle communication without having a browser?
