View Full Version : Set transparent flash player on the page

After much research and experimenting I have finally been able to create a flash web video with a chromakeyed person and a transparent player.
i.e. person in the video cutout and floating on the page.
What I can't figure out is how to Correctly place this transparent flash player on my html web page where I want it.
I can put the code in a specific location on the page and it will operate properly, but the player seems to reside between the text, tables etc., and the background, moving the rest of the page around.
I would like to have the transparent player "float" on the TOP of the page, over all text, background, images, etc.
I have tried adjusting the alignment coding withing the object/embed areas but it does not seem to have any effect as to the videos location.
I have seen it done elsewhere but don't seem to find the answer within any code source.
Ideally if it could remain in one location even when the page is scrolled that would be great but not necessary.
Let me know if I can supply any additional info.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Try posting your HTML code. But, to answer your question you align flash just as you would any other HTML item such as an image. Personally, I use CSS to position my elements on the page. Some people (really evil people ;)) use HTML tables to position their elements on the page.

Got it handled. used a div absolute and the transparent player overlays wherever I want.
However, with that accomplished I would like to duplicate something else I have seen with this same type of video player where it stays in one location regardless of scrolling the page.
I have found a few scripts that do this with images jpg or gif etc. but I can't make it work with my flash video similar to what is at rovion.com
Any ideas? Thanks
