i have a page layout, which i've got from the following url (html and css are explained at the link) http://bonrouge.com/2c-hf-fluid(r).php and want to place a banner image in the header section of the layout, can this be done using css, and if so, can it also be centred? i can get it to work if i insert the image in the page code, but i need it to be in a css file or some other external file so that i can change it on ALL of my pages without having to edit each individual page seperately.

thanks for your help

In your css file:

#header {
background: url(path_to_image_file) no-repeat top center;

thought for a moment it wasn't going to work, but after i set the height property of #header, it worked perfectly, thank you

just another question (related to the div setup mentioned above), how do i add extra divs to the #right, so that they don't cover each other up, such as happens with #header and #inner-wrap, where #inner-wrap always appears below #header regardless of the size of #header.

thanks for your time

If I'm understanding correctly - you want to add <div>'s inside the right column.

If so, you can add them between the <div> ... </div>.
