hello,

how can i insert the usemap tag in a code like this(i would like to make a portion of "photo_main" clickable):

the css part is:

#photo_main{
background:url(../images/photo_main.jpg);
height: 504px;
}



and the html part is:

<div id="photo_main"></div>

It works just fine... and is a beginner's tool. the Poster appearred to need something simpler than the other proposals.
And it would be a step in their learning progress.

If we depended an always using the newest technology, we'd be getting to work in something other than a bus or car.

I don't think it's necessarily about using the latest technology just because it is new. CSS imagemaps are better too ;) so as he/she progresses his/her learning, then, with css imagemaps, he/she will be going in the correct direction.

I agree there is no point espousing the following of latest trends just for the sake of it. I suppose that is partly because if we ingore the older just because it is older, then I might just be obsolete :)
