View Full Version : Fixed position div bug in ie!?!

im not exactly the best at html and css.
so please dont take the mick because i dont know this.

ive made a div music player that is fixed to the top left corner. (top 0,left 0)
i used "position: fixed;" Only to find out that IE does not work with this.
(I use firefox).

Heres the code i used:

<div style="text-align: center; position: fixed; left:0px; top:0px; margin-left: auto; visibility:hidden; margin-right: auto;

width:0;"><object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAccess="never" allowNetworking="internal" height="50" width="50" style="width:425px; visibility:visible; height:75px;" border="0" data="http://www.myplaylist.org/mc/mp3player.swf?

<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="never" />
<param name="allowNetworking" value="internal" />
<param name="movie" value="http://www.myplaylist.org/mc/mp3player.swf?

playlist=8095417" />
<param name="menu" value="false" />
<param name="quality" value="high" />
<param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
</object><BR><a href=http://www.myplaylist.org><img src=http://www.myplaylist.org/mc/images/create_black.jpg border=0></a>

There are a number of fixes i have found for this problem
alot of them using css
personally i dislike using css for this little peice
because i need it all contained in a little box in compact form.

if someone could please fix that code so that the div player is in a fixed position in IE 7> and also in firefox i would be very grateful.

this is being used on a myspace profile so i cannot easily edit any of the main page html details.

Thanks in advance.:thumbsup:
