View Full Version : wordpress or my own mini-cms?

I've been thinking quite a bit on this, and I really don't know what I want to do. Basically, my site is a Josh Groban fan site which focuses on song lyrics/translations and photos. So far, I've made a little CMS thing which is quite functional. I was thinking of somehow using wordpress for the news section, but then someone pointed out that since wordpress is a CMS itself, integrating it with my CMS is...not a very good idea. So, my question is, do you think make a complete switchover to Wordpress for my whole site, and not just the news page, or should I just keep Wordpress for the news only? I see using wordpress for the whole site as a good way to make updating content more convenient, especially when I'm busy, but doesn't it also restrict what I can do with my site, in terms of coding and PHP functions?

Ideas welcome! Thanks :D
