I can't seem to get my sidebar to flow 100% height along with the content div in my container. Any help would be appreciated.

That doesn't seem to be what I'm looking for because I don't want a repeating background image.

Maybe you can elaborate a little more on what you are trying to accomplish?

Sorry, the only way I know of how to do what you are trying to do is the faux columns trick i mentioned previously.
Perhaps others will have a more efficient way for you to handle your situation.
good luck.

If you want a uniform extension color, then maybe you should check out a technique (http://www.cssplay.co.uk/layouts/threecol.html) by Stu Nicholls. The background color of the column is actually implemented using a border.
