View Full Version : CSS z-index switching w/o java

Ok, so I'm somewhat self taught in the area of web prog. And I warn you that I have a hard time understanding some jargon, so explanations would be great.

My question is:

Is there a way to switch between z-indecies without using java to pull or push the layers around. And if there is such a code, could it be included in to my style sheet so that I wouldn't have to place it on all my pages?

Jokes/flames extra will be taken with a good laugh.

It would be much easier to use Javascript rather than Java to do that. I don't think there is any way of doing it without a programming language though unless you use a shrink ray from one of those old movie to shrink yourself down extra small so as to disrupt the flow of electrons through the computer and change the zindex value that way.

Oh! If only I could!

I actually found a little work around in css after exploring the interweb most of the day. It's not pretty, but it was something that had been bugging me. Thank you for your time though.
