Hi, I'm having some problems getting canvas vector images to render properly in Safari. I've googled a bit and Safari 1.3+ does support the canvas tag, so I'm not sure why it's not working (it works fine in FF2 & Opera 9).

Here's the test page: http://lazydragon.dreamhosters.com/canvas-test3.html

I've basically just copied & pasted the example from the mozilla documentation page: http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Canvas_tutorial:Applying_styles_and_colors#A_createLinearGradient_example

Anyone know why it doesn't work in Safari?

Cheers.

Could it be this?

debug="true"">

Iím no Mozilla developer and have never seen a canvas element - especially since itís not in any (X)HTML specification, and thus not valid. Maybe leaving the XHTML namespace, or leaving the entire doctype out will make it happen?

I've removed the doctype completely, but it still doesn't seem to work. :(

Does anyone know if there are some Safari development forums like Mozillazine? I've googled but all I can come up with are regular mac forums.
