View Full Version : Positioning bug in FF?

This is really strange.

I'm building a "modular" menu system that allows any combination of horizontal, drop-down, and flyout menus for pages with deep navigational structures. In testing it, I ran across what appears to be a positioning bug with hovers and absolutely-positioned divs in FF2. (It works fine in IE7.)

Take a look at the effect here (http://mysite.verizon.net/phoenixshade3/testing/menu/test.html) (ideally in a maximized browser window; as you can see I'm concentrating on function before form). Mouse over Menu1, SubMenu1.2 to bring up the drop-down menu, then move the mouse back and forth between Submenu 1.2.1 and 1.2.2 and watch what happens to the flyout menu.

The really weird thing is that I've seen something like this in browsing beforeó not in FF, but in IE.

Has anyone seen anything like this before? (If anyone's inclined to look at my code, there are two stylesheets. menustructure.css (http://mysite.verizon.net/phoenixshade3/testing/menu/menustructure.css) is the one that controls positioning and such; the other is just for fonts/colors.)
