Hi,

I'm trying to get my background to have a gradient color effect. To start with one color and gradually change to another. I can get it to work in Internet Explorer but for some reason it dosn't work when viewed in Firefox.

<div style="position:absolute;left:0px;top:0px;width:987px;height:934px; filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Gradient(GradientType=0,StartColorStr=#43C6DB,EndColorStr=# FFFFFF)">
</DIV>

Thanks

The CSS filter property is non-standard, MS proprietary and has not been adopted by any other browser developers, afaik.

Depending on the exact look you're after, it may be a fairly simple thing to produce a repeating gradient image which can be used by all modern and not-so-modern browsers to place a gradient as a background image.

How about just using a 1px wide (or high, depending on gradient orentation) graphic and repeating it, that's how I do it. No issues with browsers there...
