View Full Version : Javascript support by robots, crawlers, spiders etc.

I have recently prepared a javascript to track users on my site. Because I wanted to compare the efficiency of client-side and server-side tracking, I have also prepared an ASP script that does the same.

What I have discovered is that there are virutally not robots' requests logged by client script, while there are a lot of them in server script log. I have expected that many of the robots do not support JS, but was anyway surprised by the result.

What I would like is your opinion how valid my results are. Do you have the same experience regarding JS and robots? Could there be something wrong with my script that would prevent the robots to execute JS - not that I would want them to, but anyway :)
