View Full Version : IE 7.0 CSS Help

Hey guys,
I have a website, and on the navigation when you hover over one of the links, it should have a drop down menu for more options.
This works for Firefox and older versions of Internet Explorer. However, for Internet Explorer 7.0, I get the error: http://www.imagenerd.com/show.php?_img=image001WMic.jpg

Does anyone know a fix for this, or what I should do?

Firefox has an error in the js console as well not just IE7. Its pointing to this line

var ultags=document.getElementById(menuids[i]).getElementsByTagName("ul")
Its looking for an element with id="treemenu1" but you have no such element. Reread the instructions from where you got the menu from. You'll notice you've made a mistake.

I added <ul id="treemenu1"> instead of <ul> and it got rid of that error, but the drop down menu's will not appear in IE 7. And in FF and IE6, The menu's are a little messed up.

You can't expect things to work your way when your code is bad. Validate your code: http://validator.w3.org

More specifically use a full valid doctype or IE7 won't work as expected. It actually tries to behave like IE6.

BTW your url doesn't work anymore. It did before.
