I am just trying out div layers, so please be gentle and lay some knowledge on me! I'm (obviously, I'm afraid) not a professional I'm grateful for any help.

I'm matching up two div layers with a background image using placement in pixels which, of course, on resizing the browser window breaks up the alignment. I know that there is probably a pretty sensical and simple way to do this, but I can't think of one and I've tried searching around. I hope you guys will be able to help me have the background image and the div layers match up when resized or just to prevent the browser window from being resized at all!

Here are the relevant files:

Thanks in advance!

What's happening is that since you don't specify a horizontal postion for your background image, it is assumed that the image is to stay centered. Make the background-position declaration in your body selector this:

body
{
background: #898087;
background-image:url(navimage/bg2.gif);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: top left;
background-attachment:scroll;

font-family: Arial;
color: #000000 ;
font-size: 11pt;
}

and all should be well. :thumbsup:
