We are looking for a motivated individual who is interested in working in the area of persistent surveillance research and development. Particularly, in the areas of Full Motion Video (FMV), Wide Area Motion Imagery (WAMI) and other persistent collection technologies. This individual will join a team that is developing state of the art algorithms for automatically extracting meaning from video, imagery and other geospatial datasets to support exploitation for intelligence. Through a close connection with the analysis community, we work to deploy operational prototypes that demonstrate a 10x improvement or a “game changing” solution that is otherwise unperceived to our sponsors.

As part of the team, one will have access to unique computing resources that allows the exploration of advanced analytical concepts and various software and hardware frameworks, such as HDFS, that support data-intensive applications. Beyond the computing resources, you will work side by side with motivated individuals that are making impacts to our sponsors on multiple tasks and pushing the art of the possible through our internal research program.

We are looking for someone who has strong problem solving and software development skills that is comfortable working in the primary languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript, and/or Python. Knowledge and capacity to work on either Windows or Linux, use various database technologies and implement and understand sometimes sophisticated mathematical algorithms is desired.
