    Cross Platform POS system idea

    Hello!

I've been thinking of this idea for awhile now because I have been noticing that many stores ( electronics to be specific ) are trying to get involved in selling their product across the Internet, in store, and through apps. I have also noticed that each of this act as their own little separate entity and each one is different. Personally, I work at best buy and I can see the advantages to being able to sell product over my iPad just as fluently as if I were at a register. Or for the customer to be able to make a fluent purchase on the Internet, getting the same experience no matter how they shop. Right now at best buy... If you come n store ( some stores excluded please don't rage ) you generally gain information and suggestions from someone in the department. This engagement lets that seller build a personal connection and make sure that the person usually gets the appropriate items for their needs... However... All websites just present information and offer no guidance at all. In store, we must build a lot of engagement to build the relationship needed to get all the info needed. Wouldn't it be nice if a website offered guidance just like we do in store? Or if an app ( one for POS for employees and one for customers) allowed employees to get the info needed for a suggestion all on an iPad, or for a customer to assess their own situation on the app/ online ? I realize that using such technology really ruins the personal experience, however people don't want that.... They want things that fit their life but are afraid of greedy salesman talking them up ( which we just do in order to get enough info to make suggestions )... I have read that 20 % of all online sales actually get the additional services that we try to sell while in store we struggle for 10 percent at most. I feel that by getting rid of the salesman aspect but by keeping the human in store feel by means of every employee engaging customers with the app would really do well... It would destroy the salesman view and just make it seem like people doing their jobs.. Overall... The pos/app/ website would ask questions then make suggestions and provide information about the suggestions and answer questions. In store reps could help too. Anyways, in summary the idea is to create a POS system that is fluent across all systems and give the same customer experience across all systems! Any thoughts, ideas, offers, partners, ect are welcome, also I apologize if this is in the wrong area!

    Thanks!

Also, I apologize for all the typos and such, it's a but late here and I am typing on the iPad, a lot of the mistakes are from the lovely auto correct, but a few are from my quick typing. I also apologize for the lack if flow in my paragraph. Please bear with me and if you can understand my terrible writing please feel free to respond! I will try to update this tomorrow with " more good English"!
    Night!
