    [REQUEST] Points system

    When people register, I want them to answer problems to gain points for their account. Can someone make me the .sql script and the PHP script required for this? Just make it so if they click a link they get points.

    Thanks! I'm making a grammar learning site.

    This needs to be moved to the Work Requests forum and you need to specify how much you'll be paying.

    Uh, screw that. I just wanted to help and maybe a code. I don't think it's that hard to make, I'll learn it if I watch some more tutorials. I just didn't have time. $100 points for something so small?

    Well, to be fair, neither do we. That's why you have to pay if you want someone to do it for you. The other parts of the forum (other than the paid work section you are in right now) are intended for those who wish to learn, not those who don't have any interest in trying.

    Right here - in the "no effort" zone - you'll need to pay a coder their hourly due. Anything less literally isn't worth a coder's time. Most web developers are working for $30/hour and up which is why a few hours of coding and debugging can quickly reach $100.

    Hopefully that puts things in perspective a bit.

    After all, you wouldn't go to a local repair shop and ask a mechanic to fix your car for free - even if you could watch a few Youtube videos and eventually get that transmission fixed up all by yourself.

    Their time is not free even if they have the know-how and the right tools to get the job done. Even if it isn't "that hard." Try to think of web development in a similar light.

    Anyway, best of luck with the points system!

    It's usually a good idea to start out with this at the VERY TOP of your CSS: * {border:0;margin:0;padding:0;}
