    Quote for PHP/MySQL Data Interface

I am gathering a cost estimate for the creation of a research database system. Quotes can include or not include site design costs as well.

    Purpose:
Allow end users to gather basic statistical information about a database. This is for downloading information about a set of data, not for downloading the raw data.

    Workflow:
End users will first select their database to obtain information from.

The interface will ask for the following input
    1. Type of statistic (e.g. count, percentage, average, standard deviation)
    2. Data to run those statistics on
    3. Selection criterion (e.g. only males, between these two dates etc)
    4. Grouping variable (e.g. display results grouped by ethnicity, or grouped by gender etc)

After inputting the necessary information, the user can download the summary statistical information in either a txt or csv file. I haven't given much thought to what makes the most sense.

The site also has to be expandable. Therefore when a new dataset is loaded into the database, there is a setup page to generate the search page for the new database. I imagine it to be a page where one selects the database columns to be used for the data (2), selection criterion (3), and grouping (4) on the new search page.

A completion date has not yet been set as this is just a request for information. However I would also like to know how long this would take someone.

    Thanks,

I can do it for around $500 USD give or take a few depending on certain factors. PM me if you would like to discuss. (referring to the database driven features only)
