    Snowmobiling community website

I am looking for someone to build me a snowmobiling website or a template I could modify

    site would have:

    1. Main page
    2. Members login
    3. Forums
    4. Members Galleries
    5. If poss customizable members profile pages

Main would be site news/ads etc..thought it would be a lil cooler if you could cusomize your profile page and make it a little more appealing, everone likes to personalize things.

If this sounds a bit much, I didnt realize, as I'm not a coder so I'm just lookin for on the cheap. Is this easy stuff or is my request coplicated and expensive?

Could you clarify "on the cheap"? Are you thinking $300 - $700 or maybe $2,000 - $4,000???

    That may help stimulate responses.

It's as easy as it sounds. But $500 would be a reasonable amount for this.

guess I'm gonna have to try something on my own as I didnt think what I was asking was gonna be that expensive. I thought the only hard part was the profile page. So thanx anyways I think I'm on the wrong site for what I"m looking for.I think its gonna cost me more than I can pay here, for just a snowmobile fansite...well wish me luck sounds like I'll need it.

One of the problems that many people have in regards into hiring web developers is that people think that its very 'easy' and 'cheap'. To make a real website, it takes TIME. People don't seem to realize the amount of planning, testing, checking, researching, and so on that is required. Yes even for a fan site. I could throw something together, but then again so could your neighbors kid. I spend an average of 20-40 hours on a full scale website in first time development. Just assuming I'm charging $20 an hour (conservative for most quality developers) that is a minimum of $400. I probably only spend about 60% of my time working on the website code, the rest is email, planning, sketches, etc. Just some food for thought.

Well its time to learn html anyways, I can get a free forum and design my portal and go from there I guess...I really have to know if the site is gonna have that much support before I sink that kinda cash in it. Sorry for bothering you guys, I just didnt realize the cost, with all the free stuff available I thought it could be slapped together pretty quick, again sorry for my ignorance...

Please don't apologize! You aren't bothering us, and sometimes you can find someone willing to do it for little or nothing (especially if they are into the site concept). Perhaps you can start with a social platform like Ning, which lets you start your own site pretty much for free?
