I'm looking for a quote for the following:
I need a program (I thought about access-database) for document management.
What would be great is that I place all my documents in one folder and the program reads (and displays) the filenames in fields. I then want to add some information to each file, so it would have to have fields like: name, date, project, notes, etc.
when all the information is added, i want to be able to change the sort order of the files, but also filter results (to ex- or include certain specifications). It has to have multiple filters, so i can "drill down" to the result I'm looking for if needed.
The documents have to be "clickable", so sort of like an URL, but now it has to open the document in the right program.
I understand this is a bit of a crude description, so if you would like more information, don't hesitate to respond. Also, it is not needed to create this in Access. I just thought it might be handy
