On first view it may seem ok, but the main thing that stands out to me is the green. No harm intended, but that's a horrible green, it's almost illuminous (sp?).

The navigation bar doesn't seem like a navigation bar, it seems like some random text placed there, you need to make it clear that they are buttons

The bar down the left is fine in my opinion.

The main body shouldn't have bold text I think, and the right side doesn't seem structured, it just looks as if some random images have been thrown on there. Perhaps if it was seperated or some effects were used to show separation and structure then it'd be more easy to depict the individual elements on the website.

I know that sounds like a lot of bad comments but I'm not trying to make out it's a bad website, it's a good start, just needs some small touches

I don;t think it's too bad. OK so the green may need toning down slightly but my main area of concern would be the 'header' part. From the top down as far as the thin grey horizontal line below your menu:

It seems to be made up of serveral different parts which are scattered. I would be inclined to make more emphasis of (wjat I consider to be), your main menu - Homepage, About Us etc. - and make the secondary menu, less dominant.

I would also try to combine the business name with the 'strapline' as well as the photo but I would perhaps move the postal address to the contact page.

The photos to the right, I would try to incorporate them in some way, like you have done on the left.

And at the bottom where you have your testimonials etc., I would include those links in one of your menus and I would make the menu at the bottom, more consistent with the menus at the top, perhaps, including all menu items?

No comments as to design as, I imagine, you want it to look better? NOT my forte

    I hope this is useful

Ok thanks guys for the comments.

I agreed with some of the things you said once my mental block went !! So i have made some changes to the design now hopefully for the better

The only thing I havnt done yet is toned down the bright green colour - still playing with tones at the minute.

Anyway what do you guys think now ??

Try #99cc66 for your green. As far as the rest, in my opinion, the artistic touches, like the box backgrounds, make it busier than it needs to be. Same with the banner... just seems to be too much going on. The banner in particular seems a little hodge-podge, like you had a good banner but decided to stick more stuff up there as an after-thought. That's what it seems to me, anyway.

    I hope this helps.
