    looks good
Dont really like the logo or the bg much tho, and the menu looks like it has a little too much spacing between the items. Other than that, its wonderful

I love the way you have it laid out 2

Simple, quality layout -- I like the 45 degree angle background and the business chrome colors -- I would say the logo needs adjusting -- stick to a basic font like Helvetica or Futura or Frutiger or even Arial if you have too, make some of it bold and some not -- keep that simple clean look that's working for you, and dump the white glow and the bevel... it would look more professional without. Sometimes you don't need the bling on everything.
    By font variations I mean:

    or

    or

    or
    steviepeele:myblog

Stuff like that, just ideas -- very simple
    Great job!!!

The layout is friendly, that's great
First up: I luv the "HTML Invalid" button Classic. I hate the "Bush in 2004" button, cause he's a F$*@#())(#@*%(#)* )#(# )%(@)!_$%(*@ $(!!.
The navigation, however, could use some work.
For example, how do I know that I'm on the home page? There is nothing telling me where I am. By adding an id to the <li> of the current page, you can style that differently so that it is obvious as to where the user is.
OUCH! Just checked your code, and your menu is a pile of nested <div>'s... Totally unnessacary, and semantically meaningless
You could quite easily use an unordered list for the menu and set the bottom border of the current pages menu option to a different colour to signify where on the site the user is.

Instead of the standard blue for links, how about a slightly softer blue...like #4B73AA, with maybe a lighter blue, like #6F91C4 for the visited links.
and maybe orange for links hover for a bit of contrast?

I could keep going, but I think that's enough for now

I take no responsibility for the above nonsense.

    Break-dancing

Like the layout, like the slanted lines in the background; buttons could be smaller, nested divs for a menu: go be ashamed!
Still worse though: breaks after every line for bigger line height?!! Come on!!! Ever hear of the CSS line-height property? I was going to suggest reducing the line height somewhat, but that's gonna take ages, isn't it? All the more reason to use CSS for this: just one simple change, and you're done.

Oh, and I'm sure you're aware of the importance of doctype, char set, etc, but it's up to you if you care about valid code or not.
    Regards,
    Ronald.

Left and right margins/padding on the main content area is too small. What is that? 2px? Should be no less than 5 -- 10 or more is better.

    Phew...

    Steve,

My apologies for sounding a bit harsh; thanks for being a good sport about it. It is actually rather impressive for a boring sunday passtime excercise.

    Ronald.

    Smile Not too bad!

I like the general design of your website but I think there are not enough contrast between the different colors. The logo is a little bit too simple for my taste. The menu is simple and easy to use. The background is a bit disturbing because the line are not staight.
