A new site teaching users to navigate life events

We are building a repository of expert information on navigating challenging life events. Lifeguides.me

We even have a course on learning to code:

    http://www.lifeguides.me/courses/learning_to_code/

I'd love to know what people think of the idea/UI/anything else that comes to mind!

Great tips for a beginner, watching videos is much more enjoyable than reading text so I like the addition there.
What I think should be noted is that it gives lots of hints and videos that are very targeted towards web programming, and doesn't help 'pave the road' as much for people who may be looking to start other types of coding, a nice addition would be a slide with examples of languages and the best places to apply them, such as Java for Android apps, Ruby-On-Rails for web applications.

This website is clearly designed for tablets - I mean I had to scroll a lot to get to the bottom of it.

You should create two versions of it, one for desktop/laptop, the other for tablet/smartphone.
