I feel the font you are using is not providing professional look. Stay with blue because it is clean and attractive or you can use light combination of colors. I think you can arrange the twitter, facebook, feeds icons better than that in the current order.

I agree about the choice of font. The main "Welcome to Uni-Bible" title doesn't look very sharp to me either.

Menu looks a little squashed up, again a bit more space would make it look better perhaps.

The left hand column looks too squashed up to the left - try a bigger margin. I think that pale blue from sbar.png doesn't sit well with the rest of the site as well. It's quite an inispid shade I think. Similarly the ad on the right could do with some more right-margin

Central column looks like it's over to the left - I'd centre that whole div, and also consider justifying the text at the bottom.

Footer seems unnecessarily large - what does "Explore Uni-Bible" mean? - that makes me expect some nav links.

Overall I think it's too blue (too many different shades) - you could try making the nav links at top and left a different colour just to give some visual interest. And maybe change the background colour as well.

I was messing with Firebug on your page and produced the attached. (Disclaimer: I am not a graphic designer....)

Couple of other points - the pink sliders should have cursor : pointer applied. Also, you might find the site easier to maintain if you rip out those inline styles.

    Hope that's useful.

I think that there is too much going on on the home page. Try moving some stuff to other pages but apart from that looks good

I think it might look more interesting if you add a little bit of orange. And I would change the lighter shade shade of blue to a cleaner blue. But in general I think blue is a good choice and the look of the site is nice and clear.

Your results display in what appears to be alphabetical order at the higher levels. For example, searching for the top of the league tables, Bath is returned as first. Cambridge only appears third in the list. A little more fine tuning of your rankings would be desirable. Also, your information is complete: searching for Oxford only returns the eponymous university, but not Oxford Brookes. By far the most serious concern, though, is the lack of justification for your rankings. Having an excerpt from the university website is thoroughly unhelpful. The ratings, without justification, have no meaning.

I like the color scheme, however the font on the banner images just doesnt do it for me, the stroke is way too thick, makes it look a lil childish. Maybe make some of the header fonts a lil smaller, they make the homepage a lil cluttered.
