Loggur - Build and Share Web Apps

I've just finished the landing pages of the site, and this is actually the first place I'm posting a link! Since CodingForums was one of the first and best places I came to for guidance when I first began coding, I figure it makes sense to post my pride and joy here first.

There are still 40 days until launch but I figured I'd post a link here and see what you folks have to say about it.

If you find it interesting and would like to be a part of beta testing, feel free to request an invitation through the home page!

    www.loggur.com

    Thanks CF!

Nice site indeed, but I'm not sure about the fonts in header slide show. Fonts colors are not so readable and blend with background. And in general color scheme seems a bit toneless. Other than that, your website is pretty good!

Will you show it off after launching?

I was afraid of that. I think it really depends on your monitor/screen/brightness and all that. If I receive any more complaints about it I may have to increase contrast.

What exactly do you mean? Post here again after we've got some apps? Most definitely... well, the ones that I think might be relevant to you CFers.

Thank you very much for you input!

The W3C validator says that you have over one hundred coding problems: http://validator.w3.org/check?charse...ww.loggur.com/

I am aware of the W3C validator... and its shortcomings.

If you're basing the quality of your website(s) on whether or not it passes the W3C validator's tests, you're making a huge mistake. The validator throws errors on things that are 1) generally widely accepted in the real world and 2) would be a huge pain in the butt and waste of time to get to work correctly within the validator's standards. Quite simply, it is impractical.

Case in point, two of the top websites today fail the W3C's validator's test (and they each actually contain a fraction of the code that my front page does... the number of errors per line exceeds my own):

Google - http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...alidator%2F1.2 (37 errors at the time of this posting)

Facebook Mobile - http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...alidator%2F1.2 (34 errors at the time of this posting)
