Slow site - how to make it faster

Hello, please take a look at this fashion blog.
I would like to make it faster. It now loads in more than 10 seconds.

What can be done in order to make it faster?
I have installed the Google FireFox page speed plugin... and it gives some suggestions, however not sure what next steps to take...

    Please help

Follow the steps suggested by that plugin. Enable client caching for CSS and images, optimise the images, use content compression etc.

Please suggest how to enable this client caching for CSS and images?

I have intalled a plugin that caches all the pages and gives HTML instead of running every time php queries. Is that what you mean?

What about content compression? Is it something I have to enable via my ISP cpanel or maybe a wordpress plugin?

You have 120 coding errors. The site would probably display a LOT more quickly if you fix them. See the report here:

Thank you, I was able to correct more than 10 errors by myself... however I need some help. I create a thread here.

The site is slow because you’re using huge images (in terms of file size). Generally it’s good practice to keep images below 50KB. There are exceptions, of course, or the odd image that’s bigger than that won’t hurt. But on your home page the images in the main section are too big for their size, you need to optimize them; they could be at around 28KB, as opposed to 60, I guess. Also, while doing that save the images with interlacing. That makes them load quickly but blurry at first and then they will become clearer.
