I love your sites. Especially the first one...studio-88. Very clean well designed and the colors are great. One thing I did want to mention. The footer links are hard to read. Once they are clicked and turn white, then they're fine, but the red is hard to read. Maybe increasing the font size would help.

First of all i don't like the domain extension. I never understood why people like to have so many dots in their domain name.

Secondly, sorry to say but the layouts are so 90's. A better way to do it is to install wordpress ( here is a guide how to install wordpress ) and look for a good theme among millions available for free and then change everything from admin panel.

Everything is easy ( setup, customization, adding content ) and you will have a great looking website with no effort.

If you are a true web designer/coder, why would you want to use wordpress and someone ELSE'S designs? To me thats not coding but being lazy.

oh wow yea I agree thats classic new millennium style...its well constructed but not very trendy.. I dont think using wordpress takes anything away from being a true coder, I find designing your own theme in wordpress takes much more codeing skills then to just code a static html website and you would be able to update from the admin panel which makes life easier as a web master...

Stepping aside from the WP debate...

..re http://www.studio-88.co.za/ I find the homepage rather cluttered - don't know where to look. I don't like the scrollbars in the centre frame.

Your page has a comment before the doctype - better to have the doctype right at the top.

I quite like the red and black feel with the "city lights" background - if that's what it is.

..re http://www.afskopkamp.co.za/, I don't find the links very obvious on the splash page - I assumed they were both links and clicked the wrong one. You could make these more obvious.

Then, again, I don't like the dual scrollbar on the home page - it seems to serve very little value.

Navigation's nice and clear. Ah, but all the content's on one page and you're using jquery tabs - hmmm, while it works OK I'd have thought you'd be better splitting out the content onto different pages really, which would be better for search engines and screen readers.

Personal taste but I don't like the animated gifs.

This reads a bit picky, sorry, trying to be helpful.

I always seem to add this to review posts - but if you haven't come across it, Steve Krug's book "Don't Make Me Think" is essential reading for usability stuff.
