    Please review my site: Mediaroots

    Hi there

I'm the Managing Director of video training DVD company - Mediaroots Ltd. We produce training DVDs for Adobe Photoshop and the like.

I'd very much welcome any feedback people could give on my website:
    Mediaroots Video Training

    thanks

    I like it, well done!

Colours It's a bit too grey, don't you think? I'd say more greens/blues added.

The Image The images load slowly.

    Regards,
    Jack

PS: Ill update this later, I'm off to school now.

The big image, the main thing you see when you load the image.

Honestly? It's brilliant. Love the colors, the graphics and above all the consistency--Links highlight the same way and the graphic themes are echoed throughout the site.

I do have two things I would consider changing, though:

    - The copy text is a bit light against a white background. Large paragraphs are especially difficult to read.
    - On pages with a considerable amount of copy, like this one, once the user scrolls down the page past the top area, there's nothing "anchoring" the content--it's just adrift in a sea of white. Possible solutions include adding a slight tint to the background of the content column, or placing a light border on the right or left side. The copy just needs to reference itself visually somewhere.

Also, your code is very pretty, but it doesn't validate.

    Overall, though, great job!

I meant the loading speed, it didn't load fast enough, possibly because of the heavy javascript use on the page.

There're two things I would suggest.

The first is a bit of a copy on the front page. Not much, it could just be "Video Training Software" overlaid on your image, but I did actually get confused when I didn't realize what your site was about; I had to search for references.

The second is the navigation bar. Company/ Team looks a bit odd. Consider Company / Team.

cheers for your feedback guys. will look at doing a tint on the bg for the blog.

in regards to the menu, they all have a / after them, just as a kind of house theme, if you check the other drop downs.

I know they do. My point is that without a preceding space it looks odd.

I agree that it's a nice site, but I would definitely try to optimize some of the images. IMHO, 162K and 100K is too large of a file size.

Enter your site here:Web Page Speed Report

    This to me stands out:

    Total page size: 835915 bytes
    Total image size:777150 bytes
