Post I recently made a CMS, needs feedback.

A couple of months ago i made a small Content Management System, then i released it called it "acute control panel" because its small and i made the cms in a short amount of time.

    Username: cfmember
    Password: cfpassword
Heres the link: Acute Control Panel
    http://acutesample.rediscussed.com/
    (Sample)

I just wanted some feedback really to go by, if someone could take a look, if you got some time I'd be grateful.

I want to know if i should give up with it, improve on it. And i know theres bound to be bugs.

    Thanks

    Sorry if in wrong category.

Graphics are nice, simple yet elegant. The black for the links may be a little too dark to go with the blue image. You're right side h2 headings are a little too light for the white background, some people (like me) have great difficulty seeing that. Its a nice design overall though, I like it. You should post some more articles so we can see what multiples look like. If the text that is currently there is a posting, you may want to alter the layout a bit, it would be difficult to differentiate the different posts. I find that a different background colour usually takes care of that one.
And finally (you saw this one coming ), the code doesn't validate: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...Inline&group=0
Haven't really gone through it, but looks like its all caused by the bottom text outside of you're html and body tags. Move those in, and it will likely validate without any (or much fewer) troubles.
    PHP Code:
    header('HTTP/1.1 420 Enhance Your Calm');

    oopsie

oop's i mean't the actually CMS i released not the "site" itself sorry, lol.

But thanks for your comments on the website itself, i fixed the xhtml (it was just where i stuck something in at the bottom not keeping it in the body).

The actual control panel i made is here, it needs to be uploaded to a web server and database setup etc. would take more time, if anyone has spare time on their hands :
    Acute Control Panel

It's pretty easy to setup and use if you have clients that want to be able to edit their web pages. This is the reason i made it in the first place.

why don't you set it up with as dummy account so we can see it with more ease and give you more feedback?

I'll review the site, but I don't have the time to set up the CPanel for myself.

    Design:
At first glance at the design, I love it. Coherent color scheme, soft, eye-pleasing colors and rounded corners (but not too overdone). Very tasteful. I just cannot think of anything to critisize on the design, its very well done.

    Content:
I think there should be more describing what acute cp actually is. Perhaps an about page, or a FAQ. Just to give whatever extra info there is.

    Technical:
Excellent job here as well. The HTML validates, however the CSS has 2 errors. Good coding styles (not using tables). Very nice job!

    dun and done.

    Thanks for the suggestion bazz

And so i have... i setup the cms under another sub domain so people don't have to spend time doing it their self , i also added an old template to show that themes work, although i just applied this in 10 minutes and its not a nice theme, its just a sample.

Please feel free to edit, delete and create and page, change themes, change links. Don't worry this will not ruin anything.

The login for the control panel is:

    Username: cfmember
    Password: cfpassword
Heres the link: Acute Control Panel

    (Sample)

Oh and thank you binaryWeapon for the thumbs up comments!
Little bit about the panel is here for now, http://www.rediscussed.com/2008/04/2...ol-panel-2008/
I'll put some more info about the Cpanel on the main site.
