    My Portfolio/Services Site

Hi, this was done for a school project, but I think I might just keep it and register a domain. Comments please!

    Reviewed in FF2.

First impression: Nice looking domain, good graphics work but not too in-your-face.

Just wanted to point some things out: On the portfolio page, sometimes the image that comes up when you hover over a thumbnail will go off the edge of my screen. Just imagine what that would look like on a laptop, and plus you can't scroll to see more of it because then you have to move off the thumbnail.

Your contact form seems to have no validation!

Just a few errors on the w3 validator: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...Inline&group=0
Should be fairly easy to fix.

    Overall, great looking site!

Binary - thanks for the reply. I used a CSS thumbnail gallery for the Portfolio. Any suggestions on how to make it more accesible to all resolutions?

I personally would use a lightbox clone. A bunch of them are found at http://www.ajaxrain.com/tagcloud.php...ightbox#script. Although having a preview on that page is not necassarily needed, in my opinion. It's up to you.

    Best of Luck,

Here's one of the first versions of it: http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox/

Its basically a popup that displays a larger image from a thumbnail. Click around to some of the sites here http://www.ajaxrain.com/tagcloud.php...ightbox#script and try the demos.

Sweet design. I would definitely keep it if I were you.

I agree the portfolio page doesn't lay right. I avoid rollovers that make content popup elsewhere on the page in most situations. If you had it so the items were more clearly distinguished, and only by clicking they would show up, that would make more sense to me. A lightbox thing is cool, but it does take the focus away from the site somewhat and can be more than necessary. I think resizing the images so they don't break out so far would be a good start.

Its not 2009 yet, so why is it on the bottom?

I think the copy is pretty good, perhaps could be expanded on the homepage? Its a little thin on my screen.

    Using FF2, 1024x800 resolution.

    The graphics are awesome.

I think the font's a bit...big (Helvetica?), and doesn't have a lot of room to breathe. I much prefer it like this--which looks a little better in my opinion.

Thanks for all the commends, please keep them coming. I'm gonna try the Lightbox effect just cause I think its cool. I'll see how it looks and feels.

Thanks Cyan for the font help. I'm definitely switching over to yours.

Everything is huge on your pages. I think you probably knew someone was going to say it sooner or later. People aren't blind - you should bringing down the font sizes and not have subheads that take up so much space. Think about different ways you can make your portfolio page look better. My resolution is 1920x1200 and I still have to scroll down to see your 5th portfolio piece.
