    Website Redesign

Hey all, I've posted many redesigns for my company's website, but I've yet to find one I like. This is the most current design I've got going. The link is only to an image of my design and once I finalize the design, I'll begin the markup.

So the purpose of this post is for an honest critique of the professionalism of the design, the use of color (or lack of), and the layout in general.

Be as harsh as you'd like as this is how I've continued to get my designs a little better each time as I'm not a designer in any way. Thanks!

Hey shane! good to have to back in here!
I like your design very much. It's very clean and clear.
What I think would add a little bit would just to maybe add some colors to the Navigation and 'Quick links' links. Although I think all the colors match perfectly and the navigation and quick links links do to, I just think they are not too protruding.

I remember review one of your earlier designs months ago. I remember back then you had like 6 or 7 different shades of the same color.

But now that I see this, I can tell you have spent a lot of time improving it. It looks much improved.

The only thing that pops out at me now is the inverted blue nike swoosh above your main text area. I am only mentioning it because most of your other graphics have much more depth to them (glassy looking links, or beveled footer). But the swoosh just looks like you stuck a drop shadow on it and moved on.

The same goes with the company logo. Drop shadow then moved on. I know you can't change their logo but you can definitely upgrade it to match the other sleek effects you added elsewhere. A simple gradient, bevel, or glass surface could greatly improve the nike swoosh and/or the blue arrow company logo.

Hmmm. I've actually tried other colors there and they just don't fit real well. I'll keep testing.

Haha, yeah, I'm trying to learn from my mistakes, although there's still a significant amount of blue in it.

Ok, now you're really testing my lack of photoshop talent, haha. I'll see what i can do about upgrading those two graphics.

Thanks to both of you for the critiques! Anyone else?
