Why do you rely on javascript for your search feature to work? The page also looks a little crowded to me.

Most screen resolutions nowadays are a lot bigger, so you might want to spread it out a bit more. The logo... I don't see any relation with gold watches and mountians, then houses.

    I think you'll find that's Switzerland...

This could look nice but like AE said is rather crowded, and it's not clear where you want me to be looking since everything is screaming for attention.

I would focus on how you want to channel users and go from there.

As an experienced web user my mind totally blanks out/disregards anything it percieves as an advert - looking at your site, that doesnt leave much else.
Your main navigation/category selections are what I'd really be wanting to click on but even at 1280x1024 they're only just on screen. I'd much rather be presented with those 4 boxes when I come to your site than a slideshow of all your watches.

everything seems to be a bit scattered around. I suggest:

    1. organise the layout a bit more
    2. don't rely on javascript too much
    3. somehow categorically seperate the sections on the home page... to
    make it less confusing

    hope this helps.
