    Site review !!

    Hey everyone,

I would like you to have a look at this site i have done. You may recognise the url from one of my old site reviews. It has been redesigned and its my first site using mysql and php.
It is not completely finished just one or two things left to do. For example there is no index page yet.

Anyway can you guys just have a look and tell me if there is anything wrong or give some suggestions for improvement etc. Could a few of you say 4 post feedback from the two forms and add some items to the shopping basket. Oh and plase test the shopping cart, most important. Add some things, delete them, change quanity etc.

    Thanks very much guys.

    Look forward to your reponse.

P.S If you test my shopping cart system for me you dont need to pay for anything, its just a booking type system !!

that's a very clean and tidy site... I like it!

My only gripe is your menus, I think you should chnage the cursor because when you hover over the text you currently have the text icon.

I didn;t spend long there and I didn;t check your shopping stuff, just looked at the site

Continue Shopping image missing when you have added things to the basket.
Missing image (letter.gif) on 'email us' page
Missing image (Map.gif) on 'Where to find us' page

With the drop down menu's at the top I would prefer them not to have a blank cell at the end, and they took a bit too long to disappear when I moved the mouse off them, perhaps speed it up a little.

    Hope this helps.

All I have to say is that there are a few images missing, but I think that Murphyz talked about it already.

    Otherwise it is fine.

    Hi ionsurge

thanks, I will look into why those images are missing.

Thanks for submitting your basket murphyz, is that what you entered:

    Quantity: 1
    Item: Pasting Table
    Weekly Rate: 5.00

    Quantity: 3
Item: Pipe Bender - 15mm to 35mm - On stand with vice
    Weekly Rate: 28.00

    Quantity: 1
Item: Industrial Vac - Small - Dry Only - Heavy Duty - 110/240v
    Weekly Rate: 40.00

keep the reviews coming and if anymore people wouldn't mind submitting a test shopping basket or e-mail then please do so.

    thanks

P.S. Seems like murphyz is doing some decorating, plumbing and some cleaning !! bit of a do it your self man hey

Thats good murphyz. Pipe benders a plumbing tool simply used to bend pipes in nice curves. They are like big scissors I suppose. Just put your pipe in and pull the handles until its bent as much as you want.

You learn something new everyday !!

    thanks applesauce

I put those images back up. They must have gone walkies somehow. Anyhow they should be there now.

I still had the links to those images pointing to my computer. So I was getting confused because I didn't know how you guys couldn't see them yet I could.

Well that problem should be fixed now ??

getting there, it's just the button that says 'continue shopping' now when you have added something to the basket.

    No I won't.

But only because it's working now.

My only gripe now is what I mentioned about the last cell of the drop down and also the time from mouseoff - but that's just a personal preference.

    Well done on the site.

looks great to me except your printer image just doesn't look as nice and clean as everything else.
